Introduction : Glipizide 5 Mg + Metformin 500 Mg tablet is indicated for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults, particularly when blood sugar levels are not adequately controlled by diet and exercise alone. It helps to lower blood sugar levels by addressing different aspects of glucose metabolism:
Glipizide stimulates insulin release from the pancreas, thereby reducing blood sugar levels.
Metformin decreases glucose production in the liver, improves insulin sensitivity in peripheral tissues, and reduces intestinal glucose absorption.
Indication : Glipizide 5 Mg + Metformin 500 Mg tablet is primarily prescribed for the management of type 2 diabetes mellitus. It helps control blood sugar levels by addressing multiple aspects of glucose metabolism.
