RABEPRAZOLE 20 MG + DOMPERIDONE 10 MG
Introduction : Rabeprazole 20 Mg & Domperidone 10 Mg capsule is commonly indicated for the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), peptic ulcers, and dyspepsia associated with gastric acid reflux.
Rabeprazole 20 Mg & Domperidone 10 Mg capsule may be used in the management of peptic ulcers, including gastric ulcers and duodenal ulcers. Pantoprazole helps promote ulcer healing by suppressing gastric acid secretion, while Domperidone helps alleviate symptoms such as nausea and bloating.
Indication : This combination og Rabeprazole 20 Mg + Domperidone 10 Mg medication is often prescribed for the treatment of gastric discomfort, a condition characterized by the reflux of stomach contents into the esophagus, leading to symptoms such as heartburn and discomfort. Rabeprazole helps reduce stomach acid production, while Domperidone helps relieve symptoms of nausea and vomiting associated with Gastric disease.
This medication combination may be prescribed for the management of dyspepsia, a common digestive disorder characterized by symptoms such as abdominal pain, bloating, and discomfort. Rabeprazole helps reduce gastric acid secretion, while Domperidone helps improve gastric motility and alleviate symptoms of indigestion.
Administration : It is typically taken orally, usually before meals or as directed by a healthcare professional.

Mechanism of Action : Rabeprazole: It is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that irreversibly inhibits the H+/K+-ATPase enzyme system in gastric parietal cells, thereby suppressing gastric acid secretion and reducing the production of acid in the stomach.
Domperidone (SR) 30 mg: Domperidone is a dopamine antagonist that acts on the chemoreceptor trigger zone in the brain and the upper gastrointestinal tract to increase gastric emptying and reduce nausea and vomiting.

Contraindications : Avoid use of this drug during pregnancy and prescribe an alternative. Evidence has demonstrated fetal abnormalities or risks when used during pregnancy.
Evidence and/or expert consensus has demonstrated harmful infant effects when used during breastfeeding.
Safety Advice / Warnings : "Taking this medicine for a long time may make it harder for your and your childs body to absorb vitamin B12. Tell your doctor if you have concerns about this.
Long-term use of proton pump inhibitors such as Rabeprazole may be associated with an increased risk of bone fractures, Clostridium difficile infection, and vitamin B12 deficiency.
Rabeprazole + Domperidone should be used with caution in patients with a history of liver disease, as domperidone metabolism primarily occurs in the liver, and dose adjustments may be necessary.
Taking this medicine for a long time may make it harder for your body to absorb vitamin B12. Tell your doctor if you have concerns about vitamin B12 deficiency.
This medicine may cause hypomagnesemia (low magnesium in the blood). Your doctor may check your blood levels if you are taking this medicine for more than 1 year
