Chlorthalidone 6.25mg Tablet is used alone or together with other medicines to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) Chlorthalidone 6.25mg Tablet is also used to treat fluid retention (edema) that is caused by congestive heart failure, severe liver disease (cirrhosis), kidney disease, Chlorthalidone 6.25mg Tablet is a diuretic (water pill). It reduces the amount of water in the body by increasing the flow of urine, which helps to lower blood pressure

The dose of this medicine will be different for different patients. Follow your doctor's orders or the directions on the label. This medicine is usually taken in the morning with food.

Store the medicine in a closed container at room temperature, away from heat, moisture, and direct light.

Dizziness, lightheadedness, or stomach upset may occur. If any of these effects last or get worse, tell your doctor or pharmacist promptly. This medicine may cause some people to become dizzy. Do not drive, use machines, or do anything else that could be dangerous if you are dizzy.

Before taking chlorthalidone, tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are allergic to it; or if you have any other allergies. This drug may make you dizzy.
