Telmisartan 40 Mg + Chlorthalidone 12.5 Mg + Clindipine 10 Mg

This combination medication of Telmisartan 40 Mg , Chlorthalidone 12.5Mg & Cilnidipine 10Mg tablet is indicated for the treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure) in adults. cases where hypertension is difficult to control with a single medication, combination therapy may be necessary. This combination of Telmisartan, Chlorthalidone, and Cilnidipine offers a synergistic approach by targeting different pathways involved in blood pressure regulation. It may be particularly beneficial for patients with resistant hypertension, where blood pressure remains elevated despite treatment with multiple antihypertensive agents.

Dizziness, Headache, Fatigue, Hypotension (low blood pressure), Electrolyte disturbances (such as hypokalemia), Increased uric acid levels, Renal impairment, Gastrointestinal disturbances (such as nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea).

Evidence has demonstrated harmful infant effects when used during breastfeeding. Avoid use of this drug during pregnancy.

Dizziness, lightheadedness, or even fainting may occur when you get up suddenly from a lying or sitting position. Getting up slowly may help lessen this problem.

Telmisartan: It is an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB). Telmisartan selectively blocks the binding of angiotensin II to the angiotensin II type 1 (AT1) receptor, leading to vasodilation and reduction in blood pressure. Chlorthalidone: It is a thiazide diuretic. Chlorthalidone inhibits sodium reabsorption in the distal convoluted tubules of the kidney, leading to increased excretion of sodium and water and subsequent reduction in blood volume and blood pressure. Cilnidipine: It is a calcium channel blocker with dual action on L-type and N-type calcium channels. Cilnidipine causes vasodilation by inhibiting calcium influx into vascular smooth muscle cells, resulting in decreased peripheral vascular resistance and blood pressure.
