Introduction :

This combination medication is indicated for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults, particularly when blood sugar levels are not adequately controlled by diet and exercise alone. It helps to lower blood sugar levels by addressing different aspects of glucose metabolism: Gliclazide 60mg stimulates insulin release from the pancreas, thereby reducing blood sugar levels. Metformin 500mg (Extended Release) decreases glucose production in the liver, improves insulin sensitivity in peripheral tissues, and reduces intestinal glucose absorption.

Indication :
