Introduction :

Voglibose 0.2 MG Mouth Dissolving Tablet is used to lower blood glucose level in patients with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus, especially when other medicines are not able to provide the desired results. It belongs to a group of medicines known as alpha-glucosidases inhibitors. This medication is used to control diabetes; it is not a cure. Other components of treatment plan are important: follow prescribed diet, medication, and exercise regimen. Take exactly as directed; with meal(s) at the same time each day. Do not change dose or discontinue without consulting prescriber. Avoid alcohol while taking this medication; could cause severe reaction.

Indication :

Voglibose 0.2 MG mouth dissolving Tablet is an anti-diabetic medicine. It is used to lower blood sugar levels if you have Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (your body does not produce enough insulin or resist it Mouth dissolving tablets are designed to dissolve rapidly in the saliva, allowing for convenient administration without the need for water.

Administration :

Voglibose 0.2 MG Tablet exactly as prescribed by your doctor. It is advised to take this medicine just before meals.

Storage :

Store at a controlled room temperature between 15 and 30 degrees C (59 and 86 degrees F); protect from light and moisture

Mechanism of Action :

Voglibose inhibits alpha-glucosidase enzymes in the small intestine, delaying the digestion and absorption of carbohydrates. This results in a reduction in postprandial blood glucose levels.

Diarrhoea Flatulence Pneumatosis Intestinalis Abnormal Liver Function Nausea Or Vomiting Dizziness

Contraindications :

Use of this medicine is not recommended during pregnancies as the possible effect on developing fetus is unknown. It is recommended to discontinue the consumption of this medicine if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant. Consult your doctor before stopping the use of this medication so that an alternate medication can be prescribed.

Safety Advice / Warnings :

"Patients should be monitored regularly for signs of hypoglycemia, especially when Voglibose + Glimepiride + Metformin is used in combination with other antidiabetic medications. This medication should be used with caution in patients with renal impairment, as metformin is primarily excreted by the kidneys, and dose adjustments may be necessary to prevent adverse effects. Voglibose + Glimepiride + Metformin should not be used in patients with type 1 diabetes mellitus or diabetic ketoacidosis. Patients should be advised to adhere to a regular meal schedule and monitor blood sugar levels closely while taking this medication"
