Indication : ACECLOFENAC 100 MG + THIOCOLCHICOSIDE 4 MG a combination medicine that helps in relieving muscular pain. Mechanism of Action : Aceclofenac is a nonsteroidal phenylacetic acid derivative related to diclofenac. Like other nonsteroidal antiinflammatory drugs (NSAIDS), aceclofenac is a prostaglandin synthetase (cyclooxygenase) inhibitor, which decreases prostaglandin and leukotriene production, therefore inhibiting the inflammatory process.
Thiocolchicoside: It is a muscle relaxant with anti-inflammatory properties. Thiocolchicoside acts by modulating gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) receptors in the central nervous system, leading to muscle relaxation and relief of muscle spasms.
Therapeutic : Anti Inflammatory, and muscle relaxants
Side Effects : gastrointestinal disturbances such as dyspepsia, abdominal pain, nausea, and diarrhea. Other potential side effects include headache, dizziness, rash, and elevated liver enzymes.
Contraindications : Avoid use of this drug during pregnancy, Evidence has demonstrated fetal abnormalities or risks when used during pregnancy and brestfeeding
Safety Advice / Warnings : NSAIDs cause an increased risk of serious cardiovascular thrombotic events, including myocardial infarction and stroke, which can be fatal. This risk may occur early in treatment and may increase with duration of use
Regular monitoring of liver function tests is advisable, especially with prolonged use of paracetamol.
Caution is advised in patients with pre-existing liver conditions.
