DICLOFENAC 50 MG + PARACETAMOL 325 MG

Introduction :

This medicine is also used to treat ankylosing spondylitis, which is a type of arthritis that affects the joints in the spine, and other painful conditions such as menstrual cramps. Diclofenac is also used to treat acute migraine attacks, with or without aura, in adults. It will not prevent or lessen the number of migraine attacks. This medicine is available only with your doctors prescription. The combination is used when a dual mechanism of pain relief and anti-inflammatory action is required, such as in conditions involving musculoskeletal pain and inflammation.

Indication :

Diclofenac is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) used to treat mild-to-moderate pain, and helps to relieve symptoms of arthritis (eg, osteoarthritis or rheumatoid arthritis), such as inflammation, swelling, stiffness, and joint pain. This medicine does not cure arthritis and will only help you as long as you continue to take it. paracetamol is used to treat minor aches and pain and to reduce fever. It may also help treat pain from mild forms of arthritis. This combination medication typically contains two active ingredients: diclofenac and paracetamol (acetaminophen). Its commonly used for the relief of pain and inflammation.

Administration :

Dosage should be determined by a healthcare professional based on the specific condition being treated and the patients individual needs. taking diclofenac with food may cause a reduction in effectiveness compared to taking on an empty stomach

Storage :

Store the medication as directed on the packaging, typically at room temperature away from light and moisture.

Mechanism of Action :

Diclofenac is an NSAID with potent antiinflammatory, analgesic, and antipyretic properties [8]. Like other NSAIDs, although the mechanism is not completely understood, it may involve inhibition of prostaglandin synthetase and COX-1 and COX-2 pathways The mechanism of action of acetaminophen in reducing pain is unknown but may be due to an inhibition of central prostaglandin synthesis (specifically cyclooxygenase (COX)-2) and an elevation of the pain threshold. Acetaminophen reduces fever by inhibiting the formulation and release of prostaglandins in the CNS and by inhibition endogenous pyrogens at the hypothalamic thermoregulator center

Side Effects :

Side effects may include dizziness, headache, edema, abdominal pain, constipation, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, dyspepsia, pruritus, and extremity pain

Contraindications :

History of asthma, urticaria, or allergic-type reactions following aspirin or NSAID use; severe and sometimes fatal anaphylaxis has been reported Contraindicated in individuals with a history of hypersensitivity to diclofenac, paracetamol, or other NSAIDs. Avoid in patients with active peptic ulcers, severe heart failure, and certain bleeding disorders.

Safety Advice / Warnings :

NSAIDs cause an increased risk of serious cardiovascular thrombotic events, including myocardial infarction and stroke, which can be fatal. This risk may occur early in treatment and may increase with duration of use
