NIMESULIDE 100 MG
Introduction : Nimesulide100mg tablet is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) commonly used for the treatment of pain and inflammation associated with various conditions, including:
Musculoskeletal Disorders: Nimesulide is often prescribed for the relief of pain and inflammation caused by musculoskeletal disorders such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and ankylosing spondylitis.
Acute Pain: It can be used to alleviate acute pain due to conditions such as dental pain, postoperative pain, menstrual cramps, and sports injuries.
Indication : Nimesulide100mg tablet is used to treat pain and fever. It provides relief from mild to moderate pain due to menstrual cramps and osteoarthritis. It decreases the intensity of pain signals to the brain and also prevents the release of substances called prostaglandins in the brain that cause pain and fever.
Administration : Nimesulide tablets should be taken orally with a full glass of water, preferably with or after meals to reduce the risk of gastrointestinal side effects.
It is essential to swallow the tablet whole without chewing or crushing it.
Storage : Protect from moisture or light and store below 30 degrees Celsius (C))
Mechanism of Action : Nimesulide exerts its pharmacological effects by inhibiting the enzyme cyclooxygenase (COX), thereby suppressing the synthesis of prostaglandins, which are mediators of inflammation, pain, and fever. By inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis, Nimesulide reduces inflammation, alleviates pain, and lowers fever.

Avoid concurrent use of Nimesulide with other NSAIDs or anticoagulant medications, as it may increase the risk of gastrointestinal bleeding.
Long-term use of Nimesulide should be avoided, as it may increase the risk of adverse effects such as gastrointestinal ulcers, bleeding, and renal impairment.
Discontinue Nimesulide and seek medical attention if any signs of allergic reactions or severe side effects occur, such as skin rash, swelling, difficulty breathing, or gastrointestinal bleeding.
