Amoxycillin 200 Mg + Potassium Clavulanate 28.5 Mg

Use as directed by your doctor. The dry syrup should be reconstituted with water before use (as instructed on the label). Shake well before each use. Give the dose using a measuring spoon or cup. Preferably give after food to reduce stomach upset. Complete the full course even if the child feels better.

Store the dry powder below 25–30°C before mixing. After reconstitution, store in a refrigerator (if advised on the label) and use within the recommended number of days (usually 7–10 days). Keep tightly closed and out of reach of children.

Amoxicillin, an analog of ampicillin, is a semisynthetic antibiotic that inhibits the biosynthesis of cell wall mucopeptide. It is similar to penicillin with broad-spectrum bactericidal activity against many strains of gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms . Amoxicillin is a semisynthetic beta-lactam antibiotic which inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis by binding to penicillin-binding proteins in the cell wall. Potassium Clavulanate: It is a beta-lactamase inhibitor that helps overcome bacterial resistance to amoxicillin by protecting it from degradation by beta-lactamase enzymes produced by certain bacteria. Potassium clavulanate does not possess antibacterial activity on its own but enhances the activity of amoxicillin against beta-lactamase-producing bacteria.
