Introduction : Cefpodoxime 200mg is used to treat bacterial infections in many different parts of the body. It belongs to the class of medicines known as cephalosporin antibiotics. It works by killing bacteria or preventing their growth. However, this medicine will not work for colds, flu, or other virus infections.

It works by stopping the growth of bacteria.This antibiotic treats only bacterial infections. It will not work for viral infections (such as common cold, flu). Using any antibiotic when it is not needed can cause it to not work for future infections.

Administration : Take this medication by mouth as directed by your doctor,
If you are using the tablet form of this medication, take it with food to help increase the absorption of the drug.
Storage : Store tablets at controlled room temperature between 20 and 25 degrees C
Side Effects : Mild diarrhea

Sore mouth or tongue
Vaginal itching or discharge

Before taking this medicine, let your doctor know if you have ever had an allergic reaction to penicillin medicines, or if you have stomach or kidney problems.
If you have severe diarrhea while taking cefpodoxime, check with your doctor before taking medicine to stop the diarrhea.
