Bisoprolol 2.5mg is used alone or together with other medicines to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). High blood pressure adds to the workload of the heart and arteries. This medicine is a beta-blocker. It works by affecting the response to nerve impulses in certain parts of the body, like the heart. As a result, the heart beats slower and decreases the blood pressure. When the blood pressure is lowered, the amount of blood and oxygen is increased to the heart . Telmisartan 40mg is used alone or together with other medicines to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). High blood pressure adds to the workload of the heart and arteries. Telmisartan is also used to lower the risk of heart attacks or stroke in patients 55 years of age and older who have diabetes or heart problems.

For oral dosage form (tablets): For high blood pressure: Adults—At first, 5 milligrams (mg) once a day. Some patients may take 2.5 mg once day as a starting dose. Your doctor may increase your dose up to 20 mg once a day if needed. Adults—At first, 40 milligrams (mg) once a day. Your doctor may adjust your dose as needed. However, the dose is usually not more than 80 mg per day. You may take this medicine with or without food. This medicine works best when there is a constant amount in the blood. To help keep the amount constant, do not miss any doses. Also, it is best to take the dose at the same time each day.

Store the medicine in a closed container at room temperature, away from heat, moisture, and direct light. Keep from freezing. Keep out of the reach of children. Do not keep outdated medicine or medicine no longer needed.

Body aches or pain; chest pain; chills; cough; difficult or labored breathing; ear congestion; fever; headache; loss of voice; nasal congestion; pain or tenderness around eyes and cheekbones; shortness of breath or troubled breathing; sneezing; sore throat; stuffy or runny nose; tightness in chest; unusual tiredness or weakness; wheezing Changes in vision; dizziness, lightheadedness, or fainting; fast heartbeat; large hives; painful urination or changes in urinary frequency; swelling in the hands, lower legs, and feet.

Certain medicines should not be used at or around the time of eating food or eating certain types of food since interactions may occur. Using alcohol or tobacco with certain medicines may also cause interactions to occur. Discuss with your healthcare professional the use of your medicine with food, alcohol, or tobacco.

Patient should avoid activities requiring mental alertness or coordination until drug effects are realized. This drug may cause bradyarrhythmia, cold extremities, hypotension, dyspepsia, dizziness, headache, dyssomnia, upper respiratory infection, or fatigue. Drug may mask symptoms of hypoglycemia. Advise diabetic patients to carefully monitor blood sugar levels. Advise patient against sudden discontinuation of drug. Instruct patient to take a missed dose as soon as possible, but if next dose is in less than 8 h, skip the missed dose.
