Introduction :

This combination of TELMISARTAN 40 MG + CHLORTHALIDONE 6.25mg MG tablet is indicated to control the high blood presssure (hypertension) Chlorthalidone 6.25mg is used alone or together with other medicines to treat high blood pressure (hypertension), it is also used to treat fluid retention (edema) that is caused by congestive heart failure, severe liver disease (cirrhosis), kidney disease, Chlorthalidone is a diuretic (water pill). It reduces the amount of water in the body by increasing the flow of urine, which helps to lower blood pressure Telmisartan 40mg is an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB). It works by blocking a substance in the body that causes blood vessels to tighten. As a result, telmisartan relaxes the blood vessels. This lowers blood pressure and increases the supply of blood and oxygen to the heart.

Indication :

Telmisartan 40mg works by relaxing and widening your blood vessels so your blood can flow more easily. This will lower your blood pressure. Chlorthalidone 6.25mg is known as a diuretic (water pill) which increases urine output thereby lowering blood pressure. If your blood pressure is controlled you are less at risk of having a heart attack, stroke, or kidney problems. The medicine must be taken regularly as prescribed to be effective.

Administration :

The usual recommended dosage of Telmisartan 40 mg + Chlorthalidone 6.25 mg is one tablet taken orally once daily. It can be taken with or without food. Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the tablet.

Store the medication at room temperature, away from moisture and heat. Keep it out of reach of children

If you think you have become pregnant while using this medicine, tell your doctor right away. Do report symptoms of potassium loss Side effects may include hypotension, dizziness, and renal dysfunction Do not drink alcohol while taking this drug, as this may aggravate hypotension.
