Introduction : Mebeverine 135mg tablet is commonly used for the symptomatic relief of abdominal pain and discomfort
Mebeverine 135mg tablet is used for the treatment of various symptoms of digestive disorders and irritable bowel conditions, such as spastic colitis, spastic constipation, colon inflammation, and mucous colitis. Antispasmodics are a form of medication that is used to treat spasms. It assists in the relaxing of intestinal muscles, which decreases discomfort and irritability. Only children over the age of ten may be given this medicine.
Indication : Mebeverine 135mg tablet aids in the relief of muscle spasms. If you have irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) or other conditions, it can help relieve painful stomach cramps. Mebeverine is available in the form of tablets or slow-release capsules (also called modified release). If you have trouble swallowing tablets, it is sometimes available as a liquid.
Its only available with a doctors prescription.
Administration : The dosage may vary based on individual response and the severity of symptoms.
Typically taken orally, usually before meals.
Storage : Store at room temperature away from moisture and heat.
Mechanism of Action : Mebeverine, a musculotropic spasmolytic, exhibits selective activity on the smooth muscles of the GI tract qualitatively comparable to, yet 3 to 5 times stronger than, papaverine
Therapeutic : Antispasmodic agent
Side Effects : May include constipation, diarrhea, nausea, and dizziness.

Contraindications : Do not administer Mebeverine 135mg tablet during pregnancy
Do not administer Mebeverine 135mg tablet to women who are breastfeeding
Safety Advice / Warnings : Mebeverine should be used with caution in patients with marked Kidney insufficiency
Mebeverine 135mg tablet should be used with caution in patients with marked liver dysfunction
