Amisulpride selectively blocks dopamine D2 and D3 receptors in the brain. At lower doses, it preferentially blocks presynaptic receptors, while at higher doses it blocks postsynaptic receptors, helping improve both positive and negative symptoms of schizophrenia by regulating dopaminergic neurotransmission.
