Clindamycin inhibits bacterial protein synthesis by binding to the 50S ribosomal subunit, reducing Cutibacterium acnes colonization and inflammatory mediator production. Adapalene is a synthetic retinoid that selectively binds to retinoic acid receptors (RAR-β and RAR-γ), modulating keratinocyte differentiation and preventing microcomedone formation while exhibiting anti-inflammatory effects through inhibition of AP-1 transcription factors and Toll-like receptor-mediated inflammatory pathways.
