This combination of topical ointment/cream is indicated for: Treatment of Melasma: Melasma, also known as chloasma or ""mask of pregnancy,"" is a common skin condition characterized by dark patches on the face, particularly on the cheeks, forehead, upper lip, and chin. The combination cream can be used to lighten and reduce the appearance of these hyperpigmented areas, helping to improve skin tone and texture in individuals with melasma. Hyperpigmentation Disorders: In addition to melasma, the combination cream is also indicated for other forms of hyperpigmentation, including post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH) caused by conditions such as acne, eczema, or injury. It helps to fade dark spots and patches on the skin, resulting in a more even complexion.

Apply a thin layer of the cream to the affected areas of the skin once daily in the evening or as directed by your healthcare provider. Avoid applying the cream to broken, irritated, or sunburned skin.

Store the cream at room temperature, away from heat, moisture, and direct sunlight.

Side effects may include mild skin irritation, redness, dryness, peeling, and burning sensation at the application site.

Long-term use of hydroquinone may lead to skin irritation, allergic reactions, and paradoxical darkening of the skin (ochronosis) in some individuals . Prolonged use of corticosteroids like mometasone furoate can cause thinning of the skin, stretch marks, and other skin changes. Tretinoin may increase the skin's sensitivity to sunlight, leading to sunburn and photosensitivity reactions. Do not use this cream on open wounds or damaged skin without consulting your healthcare provider. Discontinue use and consult a doctor if you experience severe or persistent skin irritation, allergic reactions, or other adverse effects.

Hydroquinone: Inhibits the enzyme tyrosinase, which is involved in the production of melanin, the pigment responsible for skin color. By reducing melanin production, hydroquinone helps lighten dark spots and even out skin tone. Tretinoin: A form of vitamin A, tretinoin works by promoting cell turnover and exfoliation of the skin. It helps to fade hyperpigmented areas by accelerating the shedding of melanin-containing skin cells and stimulating the growth of new, lighter-colored cells. Mometasone Furoate: A corticosteroid, mometasone furoate has anti-inflammatory properties that help reduce skin inflammation and irritation. It also helps enhance the penetration of hydroquinone and tretinoin into the skin.
