Levosulpiride 25 mg Tablet contains levosulpiride, a selective dopamine D2 receptor antagonist with prokinetic and antipsychotic properties. At lower doses, it is primarily used to treat gastrointestinal disorders such as functional dyspepsia, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), diabetic gastroparesis, and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) by enhancing gastric emptying and improving gastrointestinal motility. At higher doses, it may also be used in the management of certain psychiatric conditions. It should be taken as directed by a healthcare professional for optimal therapeutic benefit.

Below are the product's comprehensive details, including its indications, administration, storage, side effects, safety advice, references, mechanism of action, and therapeutic uses.

Levosulpiride selectively blocks dopamine D2 receptors in the gastrointestinal tract and central nervous system. In the gastrointestinal tract, this action enhances the release of acetylcholine, improving gastric emptying and intestinal motility. In the central nervous system, dopamine receptor blockade contributes to its antipsychotic effects at higher doses.
