How To Use of Mesalamine 400 Mg Tablet
Take the tablet exactly as prescribed by your healthcare professional. Swallow the tablet whole with a full glass of water. Do not crush, chew, or break delayed-release or enteric-coated tablets. May be taken with or without food, depending on the product formulation and your doctor's advice. Take at the same time each day. Continue treatment even if symptoms improve unless instructed otherwise by your doctor.
Storage of Mesalamine 400 Mg Tablet
Store below 30°C in a cool and dry place. Protect from moisture and direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children. Store in the original packaging.

Mechanism of Mesalamine 400 Mg Tablet
Mesalamine (5-aminosalicylic acid) acts locally in the intestinal mucosa by inhibiting the production of inflammatory mediators such as prostaglandins and leukotrienes, reducing oxidative stress, and suppressing inflammatory cytokines. This helps decrease inflammation, promote healing of the intestinal lining, and maintain remission in ulcerative colitis.
