How To Use of Trimetazidine Sr 35 Mg Tablet

Do not crush, chew, or break the tablet. Continue taking the medicine regularly even if you feel well. Do not discontinue treatment without consulting your doctor.

Mechanism of Trimetazidine Sr 35 Mg Tablet
Trimetazidine Hydrochloride is a metabolic antianginal agent that selectively inhibits mitochondrial long-chain 3-ketoacyl-CoA thiolase (LC 3-KAT), a key enzyme involved in fatty acid oxidation. By partially shifting cardiac energy metabolism from fatty acid oxidation to glucose oxidation, it enables the heart to produce energy more efficiently during ischemia. This improves myocardial tolerance to reduced oxygen supply, preserves cellular energy stores, and reduces ischemia-induced damage without significantly affecting heart rate, blood pressure, or coronary blood flow.
