PANTOPRAZOLE 40 + LEVOSULPIRIDE 75 MG SR
Introduction : The combination of Pantoprazole 40mg + Levosulpiride 75mg SR (sustained release) is indicated for the treatment of various gastrointestinal disorders, particularly those associated with gastric acid hypersecretion and gastric motility disturbances.
Indication : Pantoprazole 40mg + Levosulpiride 75mg SR (sustained release) is a medicine used to treat gastroesophageal reflux disease (acid reflux) by relieving the symptoms of acidity such as heartburn, stomach pain, or irritation. It also neutralizes the acid and promotes easy passage of gas to reduce stomach discomfort.
Administration : It is typically taken orally, usually before meals or as directed by a healthcare professional.
"Should be taken at least 30 minutes before meals.

Mechanism of Action : Pantoprazole 40 mg: Pantoprazole is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that reduces the production of stomach acid by irreversibly inhibiting the enzyme H+/K+ ATPase in the gastric parietal cells.
Levosulpiride 75 mg SR: Levosulpiride is a selective dopamine D2 receptor antagonist with prokinetic properties. It acts on the upper gastrointestinal tract to enhance gastric motility and accelerate gastric emptying.

Contraindications : Pantoprazole + Levosulpiride should not be used in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of the components or in patients with severe hepatic impairment.
Safety Advice / Warnings : Patients should be monitored for signs of extrapyramidal symptoms or other neurological effects, especially when using levosulpiride for an extended duration.
This medication combination should be used with caution in patients with a history of cardiac arrhythmias, as levosulpiride may prolong the QT interval.
Patients with a history of psychiatric disorders should be monitored closely for changes in mood or behavior while taking levosulpiride.
Levosulpiride+Pantoprazole 75mg/40mg Capsule SR is unsafe to use during pregnancy as there is definite evidence of risk to the developing baby.
Levosulpiride+Pantoprazole 75mg/40mg Capsule SR may cause excessive drowsiness with alcohol.
