Benidipine Hydrochloride 4 Mg

Benidipine 4mg tablet can be taken with or without food. Do not crush, break or chew the tablet. The dose prescribed is based on your situation, so avoid taking more or less than the amount prescribed by your doctor. This medicine is intended for long term treatment. Do not stop taking it without consulting your doctor as it can cause severe adverse effects.

Store the medicine at room temperature, away from heat, moisture, and direct light. Keep out of the reach of children.

Let your doctor know about all your ongoing medications. If you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or are breastfeeding, consult your doctor before using this medicine.

Consult your doctor before using this medicine if you are pregnant or planning a pregnancy. Breast-feeding Benidipine is not recommended to be used if you are breastfeeding as it may harm your infant. Discuss all the benefits and risks with your doctor before taking this medicine. General warnings Liver disease Benidipine should be used with caution if you have liver problems due to the increased risk of severe side effects. This medicine is broken down and absorbed in the liver. If you take this medicine while you have pre-existing liver problems, it may worsen your condition further. Use in children Benidipine is not recommended for use in children below 18 years of age as the safety and efficacy of the use of this medicine are not clinically established. Driving or operating machinery Using Benidipine may cause symptoms such as blurred vision, lightheadedness and dizziness. It is advised that you do not perform any activities such as driving vehicles or operating machines if you experience any of these symptoms during treatment with this medicine. Use in elderly Benidipine should be used with caution in old people due to the increased risk of very low blood pressure. Your blood pressure needs to be monitored regularly while using this medicine. Your doctor will start the treatment at low doses and increase the dose based on the response.
