Lisinopril: It is an angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor that works by inhibiting the conversion of angiotensin I to angiotensin II, a potent vasoconstrictor. By blocking the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system, Lisinopril helps to dilate blood vessels, reduce blood pressure, and improve cardiac function. Amlodipine: It is a calcium channel blocker that works by inhibiting the influx of calcium ions into vascular smooth muscle cells, leading to vasodilation and reduced peripheral vascular resistance. Amlodipine also dilates coronary arteries, improving myocardial oxygen delivery and reducing myocardial workload.
