Pioglitazone 15mg and Metformin 500mg SR (sustained release) tablet work together to lower blood sugar levels in individuals with type 2 diabetes. Pioglitazone enhances insulin sensitivity in peripheral tissues, while Metformin primarily reduces hepatic glucose production and improves insulin sensitivity. Pioglitazone 15mg and Metformin 500mg SR (sustained release) tablet helps improve glycemic control by reducing fasting and postprandial blood glucose levels. It is particularly beneficial for patients with T2DM who have not achieved adequate blood sugar control with diet and exercise alone.

It is typically taken orally once or twice daily with meals or as directed by a healthcare professional. Or just before the meals.

Gastrointestinal disturbances such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, or abdominal discomfort, Headache, Weight gain (especially with pioglitazone), Edema (fluid retention) in some patients, Hypoglycemia (low blood sugar levels) when used in combination with other antidiabetic medications.
