If the pad has wings, fold them around the sides of the underwear and secure them underneath. Replace the pad every 4–6 hours or more frequently depending on menstrual flow. Wrap the used pad in paper or its wrapper and dispose of it in a waste bin. Do not flush sanitary napkins down the toilet.
