ROSUVASTATIN 20 MG + ASPIRIN 75 MG
Introduction : The combination of Rosuvastatin 20mg and Aspirin 75mg mg is often prescribed to individuals at an increased risk of cardiovascular events, such as those with a history of heart disease or diabetes, to address both cholesterol levels and the risk of blood clots.
Aspirin 75 mg is used to reduce the risk of cardiovascular events, such as heart attacks and strokes, in individuals with a history of cardiovascular disease.
Rosuvastatin 20mg is used together with a proper diet to lower bad cholesterol (LDL) and triglycerides (fats) in the blood, and to increase your good cholesterol (HDL). It is also used to treat adults who cannot control their cholesterol levels by diet and exercise alone.
Indication : Rosuvastatin 20mg that works by reducing the amount of ?bad? cholesterol (LDL) and raising the amount of ?good? cholesterol (HDL) in blood. High levels of cholesterol can cause narrowing of the blood vessels (atherosclerosis). Lowering the amount of cholesterol reduces the chances of heart diseases and stroke and helps one remain healthier for longer.
Aspirin 75mg, a blood thinner, that prevents the formation of blood clots and the existing ones from growing bigger in size. Take it regularly and make appropriate lifestyle changes (such as eating healthy and staying active) to maximize the effectiveness of this medicine.

Advise patient to take at the same time every day with a full glass of water

Mechanism of Action : Rosuvastatin belongs to a class of medications called statins, which are used to lower cholesterol levels in the blood.
It works by inhibiting an enzyme called HMG-CoA reductase, which plays a key role in the livers production of cholesterol.
Aspirin is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that also has antiplatelet effects.
It works by inhibiting the activity of an enzyme called cyclooxygenase (COX), which is involved in the production of substances called prostaglandins.

Side Effects : Tablet: Side effects may include headache, abdominal pain, asthenia, and nausea
Capsule: side effects may include headache, nausea, myalgia, asthenia and constipation
Side effects may include dyspepsia, agitation, confusion, dizziness, headache, lethargy, Reye syndrome, and seizures
Contraindications : Hypersensitivity to NSAIDs
Syndrome of asthma, rhinitis, and nasal polyps; severe urticaria, angioedema, or bronchospasm may occur
Safety Advice / Warnings : Make sure your doctor knows if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Do not use this medicine during the later part of a pregnancy unless your doctor tells you to.
Do not take other medicines unless they have been discussed with your doctor. This includes prescription or nonprescription (over-the-counter [OTC]) medicines and herbal or vitamin supplements.
Advise patient not to take drug 2 hours before or 1 hour after alcohol use due to potential for altered absorption
