Telmisartan works by relaxing and widening your blood vessels so your blood can flow more easily. This will lower your blood pressure. Chlorthalidone is known as a diuretic (water pill) which increases urine output thereby lowering blood pressure. If your blood pressure is controlled you are less at risk of having a heart attack, stroke, or kidney problems. The medicine must be taken regularly as prescribed to be effective.
How To Use of Telmisartan 40 Mg + Chlorthalidone 12.5 Mg Tablet
The usual recommended dosage of TELMISARTAN 40 MG + CHLORTHALIDONE 12.5 MG tablet is one tablet taken orally once daily. It can be taken with or without food. Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew the tablet.

Do report symptoms of potassium loss Side effects may include hypotension, dizziness, and renal dysfunction . Do not drink alcohol while taking this drug, as this may aggravate hypotension.
