Introduction : Etoricoxib 120mg Tablet Is A Type Of Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Medicine Or NSAID Having An Inhibitor Named COX-2. This Inhibits The Certain Chemical Messengers That Are Responsible For Feeling Pain, And Inflammation.
Etoricoxib 120mg Is Usually Prescribed To Patients Above 16 Years Old Suffering From The Conditions Mentioned Below. However, Sometimes It Can Be Prescribed To Patients Having Dental Surgery.
Osteoarthritis
Rheumatoid Arthritis
Ankylosing Spondylitis
Gout
Indication : To Give Relief In Case Of Moderate And Severe Pain In Joints, Conditions Like Gout, And Arthritis. It Helps In Alleviating Pain And Reducing Swelling, And Redness In Joints. Generally, Etoricoxib Is Given For Shorter-Relieved Pain In Medical Conditions Like Dental Surgery, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Gout, Etc. This Medicine Helps In Reducing Swelling, And Redness In The Affected Area Such As Joints.
Administration : The Dosage Should Be Taken As Per The Doctor?s Prescription. Usually, The Etoricoxib Tablet Can Be Taken With Or Without Water At A Fixed Time. Please Do Not Chew Or Crush The Etoricoxib Tablet. Take Only The Prescribed Amount, Otherwise Can Cause Damage. Do Not Drink Alcohol While On An Etoricoxib Tablet.

Mechanism of Action : Etoricoxib is a nonsteroidal antiinflammatory agent (dipyridinyl derivative) for oral administration. It is a selective inhibitor of cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2)
Side Effects : There Can Be Some Common Side Effects Being Experienced By The Patients Such As Indigestion, Stomach Pain, Flu-Like Symptoms, And Diarrhea. Prolonged Use Of Etoricoxib Can Cause Liver Damage.
Contraindications : Previous hypersensitivity to etoricoxib
B) Acute peptic ulcer disease or GI bleeding
C) Patients with a history of bronchospasm with rhinoconjunctivitis or urticaria/angioedema associated with aspirin or other nonsteroidal antiinflammatory agents
D) Severe renal or hepatic disease
Safety Advice / Warnings : It May Cause Dizziness And Fatigue In A Few Cases. So, It Is Suggested To Avoid Driving Or Working On Heavy Machinery. Also, Lactating Mothers Or Pregnant Women Should Avoid Taking This Medicine. If Necessary, Take It Only After The Doctor?s Prescription. Lastly, Serious Side Effects Of Etoricoxib Are Liver Damage, High Blood Pressure, And Kidney Damage In Case Of Prolonged Usage.
Avoid use of this drug during pregnancy and prescribe an alternative. Evidence has demonstrated fetal abnormalities or risks when used during pregnancy.
