Usually taken once daily. Swallow the gastro-resistant tablet whole with water. Do not crush, chew, or break the tablet, as this may damage the enteric coating. It may be taken with or after food if advised by your doctor. Do not stop taking the medicine without consulting your doctor.

Since platelets cannot synthesize new COX-1 enzymes, the antiplatelet effect lasts for the lifespan of the platelet (approximately 7–10 days), reducing the risk of arterial blood clot formation.
