Mechanism of Betahistine Hydrochloride 16 Mg Tablet
Betahistine dihydrochloride is an analog of histamine which can be administered orally , It was developed as one of several beta-2-pyridyl alkylamine compounds with actions qualitatively similar to histamine but easier to administer than histamine itself histamine is ineffective by the oral route. Betahistine is structurally similar to histamine. It works by improving the blood flow in the inner ear which reduces the pressure of excess fluid there. Excess fluid can send signals to the brain causing nausea, dizziness or spinning sensations (symptoms of Ménière's disease). Betahistine Tablet additionally dampens down the nerve signals sent from the inner ear to the brain relieving the symptoms of Ménière's disease.
