Mechanism of Memantine 10 Mg Tablet
Memantine is an uncompetitive N-methyl-D-aspartate (NMDA) receptor antagonist. It selectively blocks excessive activation of NMDA receptors by glutamate while allowing normal physiological neurotransmission. This reduces excitotoxic neuronal damage and helps preserve cognitive function in patients with Alzheimer's disease.
