Indication of Sodium Alendronate 70 Mg Tablet
Treatment of osteoporosis in postmenopausal women. Treatment of osteoporosis in men to increase bone mass. Prevention and treatment of glucocorticoid-induced osteoporosis. Treatment of Paget's disease of bone. Reduction of vertebral and hip fracture risk in patients with osteoporosis.
How To Use of Sodium Alendronate 70 Mg Tablet
Take exactly as prescribed by your doctor, usually once weekly. Take the tablet first thing in the morning on an empty stomach with a full glass (180–240 mL) of plain water. Swallow the tablet whole; do not chew, crush, or suck it. Remain standing or sitting upright for at least 30 minutes after taking the tablet. Do not eat, drink (except plain water), or take other medications, vitamins, or supplements for at least 30 minutes after administration. Take calcium and vitamin D supplements if recommended by your healthcare provider, but not at the same time as alendronate.

Contraindications of Sodium Alendronate 70 Mg Tablet
You are allergic to alendronate or any of its ingredients. You have abnormalities of the esophagus that delay emptying (e.g., esophageal stricture or achalasia). You are unable to stand or sit upright for at least 30 minutes. You have low blood calcium levels (hypocalcemia) that have not been corrected. You have severe kidney impairment unless specifically advised by your doctor.
