How To Use of Telmisartan 40 Mg + Chlorthalidone 12.5 Mg + Metoprolol Succinate 25 Mg Tablet
Take the tablet exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Usually taken once daily, preferably at the same time each day. Swallow the tablet whole with water. It may be taken with or without food. Do not stop taking the medicine abruptly, especially because of the Metoprolol component, unless advised by your doctor. Continue treatment even if you feel well, as high blood pressure often has no symptoms.

Are allergic to Telmisartan, Chlorthalidone, Metoprolol, sulfonamide-derived medicines, or any ingredient in the formulation. Have severe kidney or liver impairment. Have anuria (inability to produce urine). Have severe bradycardia, second- or third-degree heart block (without a pacemaker), cardiogenic shock, or uncontrolled heart failure. Have severe hypotension. Have severe bronchial asthma where beta-blockers are contraindicated.

Monitor blood pressure regularly during treatment. Regular blood tests may be required to monitor kidney function and electrolyte levels. Avoid dehydration by maintaining adequate fluid intake unless otherwise advised. Rise slowly from sitting or lying positions to reduce dizziness. Do not stop Metoprolol suddenly, as it may worsen heart conditions. Inform your doctor if you have diabetes, as beta-blockers may mask symptoms of low blood sugar. Limit alcohol intake, as it may enhance the blood pressure-lowering effect. Inform your doctor about all medicines you are taking, especially NSAIDs, lithium, digoxin, insulin, oral antidiabetic medicines, calcium channel blockers, and other antihypertensive agents.

Telmisartan blocks angiotensin II type 1 (AT1) receptors, preventing vasoconstriction and aldosterone release, leading to relaxation of blood vessels. Chlorthalidone inhibits sodium and chloride reabsorption in the distal renal tubules, increasing urinary excretion of sodium and water, thereby reducing blood volume and blood pressure. Metoprolol Succinate selectively blocks beta-1 adrenergic receptors in the heart, reducing heart rate, myocardial contractility, and cardiac output, which contributes to lowering blood pressure and decreasing cardiac workload.
