How To Use of Tolvaptan 15 Mg Tablet
Take the tablet exactly as prescribed by your doctor. It may be taken with or without food. Swallow the tablet whole with water. Maintain adequate access to drinking water, as the medicine increases urine output and thirst. Do not restrict fluids unless specifically instructed by your doctor. Regular monitoring of serum sodium, kidney function, liver function, and fluid status is required during treatment. Do not stop or adjust the dose without medical advice.

Mechanism of Tolvaptan 15 Mg Tablet
Tolvaptan is a selective vasopressin V2 receptor antagonist. It blocks the action of arginine vasopressin (antidiuretic hormone, ADH) at V2 receptors in the collecting ducts of the kidneys, reducing water reabsorption and promoting the excretion of free water (aquaresis) without significant electrolyte loss. This increases serum sodium concentration in patients with hyponatremia. In ADPKD, inhibition of vasopressin signaling reduces cyclic AMP (cAMP)-mediated cyst growth and fluid secretion, helping slow the progression of kidney cyst enlargement and decline in kidney function.
