Esomeprazole reduces gastric acid secretion by irreversibly binding to the proton pump (H+/K+ ATPase) in gastric parietal cells, thereby inhibiting the final step of acid production. Levosulpiride acts as a dopamine D2 receptor antagonist in the gastrointestinal tract, increasing the release of acetylcholine and enhancing gastrointestinal motility, which helps alleviate symptoms of dyspepsia and GERD.
