ZOSTER CREAM Topical acyclovir is commonly used for localized herpes infections affecting the skin or lips.Acyclovir topical preparations may be prescribed for: Herpes simplex infections of the skin Cold sores (herpes labialis) Genital herpes (external lesions) Recurrent herpes simplex infections affecting the lips or face
How To Use of Zoster Cream
Clean and dry the affected area before application. Apply a thin layer of the cream or ointment to the affected area as directed by the physician. Usually applied daily at regular intervals, Use as directed by a physician. Wash hands before and after application.
Storage of Zoster Cream
Store in a cool, dry place below 25–30°C. Protect from moisture and direct sunlight. Keep tightly closed and out of reach of children.

Mechanism of Zoster Cream
Acyclovir is a synthetic purine nucleoside analog with inhibitory activity against herpes simplex virus types 1 (HSV-1), 2 (HSV-2), and varicella-zoster virus (VZV). Acyclovir triphosphate, a converted form of acyclovir, stops replication of herpes viral DNA by competitive inhibition of viral DNA polymerase, incorporation into and termination of the growing viral DNA chain, and inactivation of the viral DNA polymerase
