Avoid alcohol and tobaccco consumption while taking this medicnes.

Sitagliptin is a dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4) inhibitor. It works by increasing the levels of incretin hormones, which stimulate the release of insulin from the pancreas and decrease the secretion of glucagon, thereby reducing blood sugar levels. Metformin belongs to the biguanide class of medications. It works by decreasing glucose production by the liver, decreasing intestinal glucose absorption, and improving insulin sensitivity in peripheral tissues.
