How To Use of Midodrine Hydrochloride 5 Mg Tablet
Take the tablet exactly as prescribed by your physician. Swallow the tablet whole with water. It may be taken with or without food. Take the last dose at least 4 hours before bedtime to reduce the risk of supine hypertension.

Mechanism of Midodrine Hydrochloride 5 Mg Tablet
Midodrine is a prodrug that is rapidly converted into its active metabolite, desglymidodrine, a selective alpha-1 adrenergic receptor agonist. It stimulates alpha-1 receptors in the arterioles and veins, causing peripheral vasoconstriction. This increases peripheral vascular resistance, raises blood pressure, and improves symptoms of orthostatic hypotension.
