METOPROLOL (ER) 25 MG + AMLODIPINE 5 MG
Introduction : Metoprolol (Extended Release) 25 mg: Metoprolol belongs to a class of medications known as beta-blockers. It works by blocking the effects of certain natural substances in the body, such as adrenaline, on the heart and blood vessels. This results in a slowing of the heart rate, reducing the workload on the heart, and lowering blood pressure. Metoprolol is commonly used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure), angina (chest pain), and heart failure.
Amlodipine 5 mg: Amlodipine belongs to a class of medications known as calcium channel blockers. It works by relaxing and widening the blood vessels, which allows blood to flow more easily and lowers blood pressure. Amlodipine is also used to treat hypertension and angina.
Indication : This combination of Metoprolol 25 Mg ER (extended release) + Amlodipine 5 Mg medication is indicated for the treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure) in patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled with monotherapy (single-drug therapy).
It may also be used in patients with angina (chest pain) or certain types of heart rhythm disorders.
Administration : Take the tablet or extended-release tablet with a meal or just after you eat.
Swallow the extended-release capsule or tablet whole with a glass of water. Do not crush, break, or chew it.
Its essential to follow the dosage instructions provided by your healthcare provider and not to exceed the prescribed dose.
Storage : store at room temperature away from moisture and heat.

Avoid use of this drug during pregnancy and prescribe an alternative. Evidence has demonstrated fetal abnormalities or risks when used during pregnancy."
Safety Advice / Warnings : his medicine may cause changes in blood sugar levels. Also, this medicine may cover up the symptoms of low blood sugar (including fast heartbeat) and increase the risk for serious or prolonged hypoglycemia (low blood sugar). Check with your doctor if you notice a change in your normal symptoms or a change in the results of your blood or urine sugar tests.
This medicine may cause some people to become less alert than they are normally. If this side effect occurs, do not drive, use machines, or do anything else that could be dangerous if you are not alert while taking metoprolol
Dizziness, lightheadedness, or even fainting may occur when you get up suddenly from a lying or sitting position. Getting up slowly may help lessen this problem. Also, lying down for a while may relieve the dizziness or lightheadedness.
Avoid consumtoipon of alcohol and smoking, it will increase the adverse the effects
