Introduction :

Metoprolol (Extended Release) 25 mg: Metoprolol belongs to a class of medications known as beta-blockers. It works by blocking the effects of certain natural substances in the body, such as adrenaline, on the heart and blood vessels. This results in a slowing of the heart rate, reducing the workload on the heart, and lowering blood pressure. Metoprolol is commonly used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure), angina (chest pain), and heart failure. Amlodipine 5 mg: Amlodipine belongs to a class of medications known as calcium channel blockers. It works by relaxing and widening the blood vessels, which allows blood to flow more easily and lowers blood pressure. Amlodipine is also used to treat hypertension and angina.

Indication :

This combination of Metoprolol 25 Mg ER (extended release) + Amlodipine 5 Mg medication is indicated for the treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure) in patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled with monotherapy (single-drug therapy). It may also be used in patients with angina (chest pain) or certain types of heart rhythm disorders.

Administration :

Take the tablet or extended-release tablet with a meal or just after you eat. Swallow the extended-release capsule or tablet whole with a glass of water. Do not crush, break, or chew it. Its essential to follow the dosage instructions provided by your healthcare provider and not to exceed the prescribed dose.
