Mechanism of Burn Aid Cream
Silver nitrate exerts antimicrobial activity through release of silver ions that interact with bacterial proteins and nucleic acids, causing structural and functional damage to microbial cells. Chlorhexidine gluconate disrupts bacterial cell membranes and precipitates intracellular proteins, leading to broad-spectrum bactericidal activity. Chlorocresol provides preservative antimicrobial action by disrupting microbial cell membranes.
